**The opportunity**
As Release Manager, some of the responsibilities are (but not limited to):
- Update the release repository with information that will aide in managing key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists.
- Co-ordinate release go-live activities including the execution of deployment plans and checklists, and support the communication of release status, progress, issues and risks. Maintain relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations including interfacing and communicating with Test Managers, Development Managers, Service Portfolios, the Enterprise PMO and third party suppliers on a daily basis. Generate reporting for communication to senior management in Group IT and communicate release details and schedules across Group IT and Transport agencies as required.
- Assist with the identification and escalation of risks and resolution of issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality. Monitor and report on progress to ensure releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations. Support release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and go/no-go reviews, assist with the preparation of materials for Change Advisory Board meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks, and support post release reviews.
- Creation and maintenance of the release and deployment management process flow documentation to ensure it is designed in a manner consistent with the Process Quality Framework.
- Collaborate with the Continual Service Improvement team to analyse and identify improvements to the release and deployment management process.
- Proactively identify potential risks and escalate these to the line manager. Contribute to the development of risk management plans, establishment of risk controls and performance of risk mitigation activities.
- Work as part of a central Release Management team that will work across the Cluster to align Enterprise and portfolio release management according to the defined process.
- Demonstrate the five ways of leading behaviours to deliver organisational outcomes for our customers, our people and communities for the greater good.

**About you**
Demonstrated leadership and management skills, including the ability to strategically lead, influence, promote and motivate highly skilled teams to deliver desired outcomes.
- Proven experience managing the operational delivery governance of managed IT services in large, complex organisations and facilitate resolution of escalated issues.
- Promote collaborative relationships, and partner with service owners and suppliers to accurately identify and manage emerging issues and challenges affecting releases
- Excellent communication skills
- Project management skills with knowledge of presentation
- Team and time management skills
Role specific skills;
- 5 or more years of recent SAP technical release engineering and delivery experience working in Waterfall and Agile delivery environments as a release manager or lead
- Experience working with Solution Manager using the Focus Build framework for delivery
- Understand change management controls and have experience with Charm in Focus build and Solution Manager
- Experience of running SAP product upgrade release's
**Salary and Benefits**
This position is a Transport Award Grade 9 ($138,670 - $155,309) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
