Hays is currently partnering with an CBD based industry-leading funding company to find a motivated and detail-oriented Collections Officer. As a Collections Officer, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the arrears portfolio and ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments. This is a key role in maintaining a high level of customer service and minimising financial risks.

**Your new role**:
- Proactively communicate with brokers, borrowers, and related intermediaries to arrange payment or establish payment arrangements.
- Effectively manage the arrears queue, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
- Actively participate in department meetings and engage with the broker network.
- Foster a collaborative and positive culture within the team, promoting ongoing professional development.
- Ensure compliance with risk management policies and maintain a clear understanding of key risk scenarios.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and contribute to a high-performing culture.
**What you'll need to succeed**:
- Previous experience in collections or customer service is required (2-5 years strongly preferred).
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the financial services industry.
- Familiarity with call dalliers and other communication tools.
- Understanding of commercial/consumer financial products and arrears management.
- Knowledge of insolvency law, litigation law, and insurance industry practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent communication and presentation skills.
