**About the opportunity**

Reporting to the Head of Building Maintenance and Compliance, you will collaborate closely with your peers and outsourced service providers. You will be responsible and accountable for the legislative building compliance of property assets and services that underpin the business.

You provide oversight and support in risk and building compliance elements, ensuring that site facilities and assets are managed following the minimum compliance standards per relevant local, state, and national legislations.

**What you’ll deliver with us**

At all times, ensure that Australia Post’s buildings & facilities comply with all relevant State legislation and Australian Standards associated with Facilities Management (FM) for essential services and Occupational Health and Safety (to employees and the public at large) and to prevent exposure to litigation and damage to Australia Post's reputation.

**You’ll also**
- Ensure the service provider’s performance and compliance service delivery obligations are following the Managed Services Agreement (MSA)
- Oversight of FM services relating to consistency in statutory and legislative compliance across the portfolio
- Oversight of FM services procurement activities across the portfolio, and interface with Australia Post Business group at national and state-based levels
- Ensure the effective identification and tracking of risk across the business to ensure compliance with minimum standards as per relevant local, state, and national legislation
- Participate in the annual strategic planning process to develop the annual departmental business plan, that outlines milestones and targets
- Delivery of special projects that maximise the value of our brands and assets

**What are we looking for?**
- 5+ years’ experience in the building facilities and/or property industry
- Degree or equivalent in the Property and/or Facilities Management field
- Good Knowledge of legislative building compliance requirements across all levels of government
- Good knowledge of health and safety, environmental sustainability issues, trends, carbon emission reduction activities and compliance requirements
- Experience in delivering results cross-functionality, in a complex, matrix environment Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders at all levels
