**_ About the Role_**

The role of Quality and Compliance Officer exists to improve current practice to improve the quality of services offered to individuals who receive a service from Mamre Association Inc. This role will promote quality improvement practices and work within a compliance framework.

The role will support Mamre employees to ensure compliance and exceptional service provision. This role must work in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and understand the NDIS.

**_ Your main duties and responsibilities will include:_**
- Assist in building a positive professional relationship between the individual living with disability, external stakeholders and the community by continually informing people of what we can offer.
- Uphold contemporary knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme legislation, rules and operational guidelines. This also includes NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, National Disability Insurance Agency and other relevant peak bodies.
- Maintain accurate and complete records in accordance with legislative requirements.
- Update templates and relevant Mamre documentation as required
- Provide monthly reports or as required to your line manager against key performance indicators.
- Conduct internal audits across the organisation to ensure Quality and Compliance.
- Enhance Mamre’s practice and reputation through continuous improvement
- Create and alter policies and procedures to be in line with the NDIS practice standards.
- Facilitate the development of training modules as required
- Collate organisation feedback and report on trends and corrective actions

**_ KEY CAPABILITIES REQUIRED _**

**Essential**
- Two years' experience in a Quality and Compliance role or similar
- Proven experience in building and maintaining professional, individual-focused relationships with
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the risk factors experienced by individuals living with disability
- Excellent interpersonal and active listening skills.
- Excellent communication skills, including advocacy and report writing skills.
- Be people focused and work in partnership.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict.
- High level of numeracy and literacy.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong administrative skills - time management, coordination of tasks, efficient work practices, ability to manage own caseload etc.
- Excellent computer literacy and confidence and capability in using systems and technology.
- Demonstrated understanding of the NDIS legislation and rules including provisions relating to reasonable and necessary supports and the role of the mainstream service system.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision.

**Desirable**:

- Previous experience within the Disability sector
- A relevant community services, quality compliance or auditing qualification

**_ QUALIFICATIONS/LICENCES/CERTIFICATIONS_**

- Current Blue Card and Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Screening Card
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
- COVID-19 Infection Control Training
