Permanent opportunity for a Demand Planner / Assistant Product Manager - Leading Digital Imaging - Sydney

**Your new company**
Our client is a global leader in digital imaging and optics products. They are famous for a range of different products, including cameras. They are currently looking to bring on board an Assistant Product Manager with a Demand Planner background.

**Your new role**
- Creating demand forecasts at material level and executing in “Rapid Response” - the organizations Demand Planning Tool
- Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
- Monitor forecast accuracy at all levels and address challenges.
- Develop and present process improvements where possible, to deliver best possible service to all internal and external customers.
- Review sales plans, customer Budget Updates, Latest Estimates and demand drivers.
- Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to Demand Planning and Supply Chain.
- Analysis of slow-moving items/EOL/overstock in inventory and at key customers and proposing action plans to help clear the inventory.
- Prepare stock allocations based on customer forecasts, stock on hand and catalogue exposure.
- Support the Product Management team in day-to-day operations and helping them prepare presentations for Planning meetings as required.
- Work with Sales team on their forecasts and update the business plan ensuring new products and EOL lines are appropriately managed and communicated.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Experience in Demand Planning or Product administration/coordination or similar role in a related industry.
- Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
- Advanced MS Excel and knowledge of SAP beneficial
- Strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills are also essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the forecast process.
