Manager Product and Place

We have an immediate requirement for a Product & Place Manager to join our New South Wales Communities business. This is a full time, permanent position based at our Head Office at Barangaroo, Sydney.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you’ll join a highly collaborative team based in our Barangaroo office and spend 1-2 days onsite at the relevant projects, with the added flexibility of working from home.

As the Product and Place Manager, you will play a key role in the New South Wales team working with project teams and external consultants to shape and deliver our vision for existing projects and setting the vision for new projects. You will be recognised business leader that delivers value to the NSW Communities business through comprehensive master planning, design, delivery and legacy of customer-relevant Product and Place across the NSW portfolio. Able to collate, collaborate and communicate with several partners to facilitate sustainable design outcomes that deliver clear and identifiable place proposition to customers. Drives competitive advantage by ensuring Product, Place Proposition and Project Presentation are reflective of each project visions and strategy. Key responsibilities include:
Strategic
- Derive, facilitate and implement the long-term vision and strategy for the generation of enduring NSW Communities product types that meet or exceed market needs.
- Implement strategies with the Senior Development Managers and State Sales Manager that foster and grow the Communities medium density aspirations and conversions.
- Oversee the development, implementation and maintenance of a clear place proposition for each project in the NSW portfolio in collaboration with the State Marketing Manager and respective Development Management Teams Participate in collaboration with research, sales and marketing teams to ensure customer focussed and sustainable outcomes that align with Lendlease Mission Zero position
- Provide timely and actionable feedback, support and design quality assurance to the National Product and Place team and the project teams
- Effectively communicate the vision and strategy to all relevant participants and stakeholders.
- Be transparent about prioritisation with project teams

Financial
- Document value proposition and cost savings outcomes from comprehensive Product and Place outcomes.
- Work with project teams to ensure appropriate budget allocation for projects to ensure Product and Place outcomes and initiatives are able to be realised

Operational
- Ensure evidence-based decision-making and design evolution is a foundation to Product and Place development on NSW projects. Ensure this is clearly communicated.
- Deliver design quality management processes and procedures and support the project teams in implementing this. Ensure timely feedback and support to project teams.
- Develop consultant procurement strategies and Panel(s) of Providers that are able to seamlessly integrate into the project design works

People
- Support project teams in the generation, testing, analysis, integration and delivery of Product and Place initiatives
- Knowledge share all initiatives with the Product and Place team members
- Grow the Product and Place awareness and capability of the project teams

To succeed, you will bring with you several years’ relevant industry experience. You will be able to demonstrate strong communication skills, and a collaborative nature. A background in town planning, environmental planning, urban design or architecture would be highly desirable.

Commercial acumen will prove invaluable when working to business plans, forecasts, and budgets. Strong cultural add is essential, and we are looking for someone that is focussed on team and project performance and is aligned with our corporate values.

Essential requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Urban Design or Landscape architectural fields
- Minimum of 10 years experience
