**The Business**:
Business & Private Bank’s Merchant Services division was broken into 3 sub-domains being Merchant Acquiring, NAB Hive & HICAPS. After some exciting changes in the business, Merchant Acquiring and NAB Hive are now one, as we continue to invest in building market leading solutions for our customers, we continue to offer unique and exciting opportunities for our people.
Our Merchant Services division has a large and wide-ranging group of partnerships and suppliers. This team manages several high value commercial relationships who provide critical Professional, Hardware and Software Services across the value chain, for all Merchant Services Sub-Domains.
**The role**:
The Consultant, Operations Contract Management plays an important role in a specialist team focused on managing 3rd Party Vendor relationships including sourcing, contracting, payments, governance and management of risk and performance. This role is to protect NAB’s investment through sourcing, financing and relying on the outcomes being delivered by the suppliers.
You will work with the relevant product, and internal teams (in partnership with sourcing and legal departments) to drive contract and pricing negotiations, ensuring contractual requirements are delivered on time, to agreed budget and are aligned to the risk appetite of the domain and bank.
You will manage the supplier’s contractual performance through our robust governance framework and monitoring of key performance indicators and controls to drive service excellence, manage costs and minimise risk. This includes ensuring the Supplier & NAB fulfil each of their obligations under the terms of the agreement.
**Further responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- Procurement Management - finding and sourcing vendors.
- Contract Management - executing and managing contracts.
- Cost Management - forecasting and budget management across the portfolio
- Strategic Vendor Roadmap - including smooth transition of legacy and new vendors across the portfolio
- Vendor Risk Management - assess, monitor, and reduce risk
- Stock Management
- Shopping Carts & Purchase Orders, Supplier Invoices, Goods Receipting etc
- Process Improvement and Documentation

**What you will bring**:
This is a great opportunity for a driven & experienced individual who enjoys working collaboratively with key stakeholders to drive mutually beneficial outcomes. You are a strong communicator (both written & verbal) you will be confident in engaging and influencing internal & external stakeholders in a positive style. You will have:
- Proven expertise in Vendor Management/Procurement space managing relationships
- Strong written and verbal communications for report writing and presentations
- The ability to break down strategic problems and engage in solution focussed thinking
- Ability to drive results and problem resolution
- Experience with NAB’s Procurement systems and procedures (SAP Ariba & PAP) is highly regarded
- Experience in Merchant Services is highly regarded but not essential
