**Your new role**

Victorian School Building Authority is looking for a new Contract manager to join the team, you will be responsible for assisting Victorian Government Schools in managing their cleaning arrangements.

The primary function of the Contract Manager is to oversee the day-to-day management of the cleaning model in the metropolitan area. This involves ensuring compliance with commercial contracts, as well as with the processes and policies of the Department of Education and Training (DET). The Contract Manager also provides support to regional schools and cleaning service providers to ensure contract and policy compliance.

As the first point of escalation, the Contract Manager addresses any issues raised by schools, service providers, and internal stakeholders, including the Project Officers. This role involves regular travel, including work outside normal business hours.

The office is located in Melbourne CBD.
- Demonstrated experience in providing strategic contract management, ensuring compliance, and offering operational advice within a similar context.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate the performance of metropolitan cleaning service providers and prepare comprehensive reports and recommendations for contract performance improvement.
- Track record of successfully implementing and overseeing the Metropolitan Area-based Cleaning Model, resulting in the consistent delivery of high-quality cleaning services in schools.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to establish and maintain effective relationships with service providers, effectively managing risks and resolving issues impacting service delivery, even in situations involving competing priorities.
- Proficiency in providing accurate advice and reporting on contract planning, delivery, benefits, and outcomes for diverse stakeholders.

**What you'll need to succeed**

The Contract Manager is the first point of escalation for any issues raised by schools, service providers and all internal stakeholders include the SCU Project Officers. Regular travel is expected and will also include work outside of normal business hours.
- A valid Driver Licence.
- A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC).
- Technical knowledge and experience in facilities management - Cleaning
- Experience working within schools and/or education environment.
- Experience and achievement with being a member of a large, high-performing, productive and engaged team (must have)
- Demonstrated knowledge, experience, and achievement with managing high-value, high-profile, and multi-site service contracts (must have).
- The ability to negotiate and build consensus with organisations on complex policy developments and issues.
