We currently have an exciting ongoing opportunity available within our Procurement team as Contract Manager.
As the Contracts Manager will be responsible for the ongoing management of contracts and critical vendors to VBA across the whole lifecycle of products.
This position will work closely with department budget holders, legal, finance and procurement to support planning of contract decision dates, reporting on contract performance metrics, sourcing support, benchmarking of performance and education support as part of the contract management framework. This is a vital position that requires agility to work on multiple projects simultaneously and to build relationships with staff of all levels of seniority to become a trusted advisor.
This position does require a detailed understanding of current trends in effective contract management and have evidenced experience of managing information technology and professional services contracts
Who we are looking for
- Strong, demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in, contract management and procurement within the public and/or private sectors with experience in obtaining improved outcomes and value for money over the life of multiple complex contracts
- Experience managing high value ICT outsourced agreements (including hosted cloud solutions and Unified communications)
- Experience managing complex contract implementations including the decommissioning of a service/s, training of staff and operational effort.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively identify opportunities for generating workplace innovation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and increased efficiency, and taking responsibility for initiating outcomes.

Current public sector employees at the same grade will be considered for a transfer of entitlements with evidence. A request above entry level may be considered in certain circumstances.
