Fund Manager

We have an opportunity for a Fund Manager to join the wider Investment Management team at our head office in Sydney.

Collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders alike and reporting to the EGM Funds Management, this position is responsible for developing close relationships with institutional real estate investors and the management and execution of Stockland’s existing and future capital partnering activities.

**Daily responsibilities will include**:

- Primary responsibility for the management of one or more established partnerships.
- Establish and nurture effective working relationships with our capital partners and potential investors. Maintain effective and regular communication and investment updates.
- Work closely with the Capital Solutions / Group Investments teams to establish new investment vehicles.
- Contribute to the Funds Management Mission to provide highly exclusive and customer focused investment opportunities with best-in-class Governance, specifically aligned to the needs of our capital partners.
- Our strategic goals are to capital partner in all sectors with a near term focus on large scale commercial, communities, and mixed-use development projects. Collaborate extensively with the Investment Management (Commercial Property), Mixed Use and Communities businesses to ensure all developments are tracking in line with the investment strategy of the fund and approved business plan and returns are optimised.
- Provide strategic direction for the fund/s and provide guidance to the Investment Management and Capital Partnering Finance teams to support the management of the vehicles.
- Develop a close working relationship with the Stockland Treasury team to ensure implementation of the Capital Management strategy for the vehicle.
- Prepare investment recommendations and present to Management Committee and Board as required.
- Prepare and oversee all client reporting to ensure consistency of key messages, relevance, accuracy, and timeliness of delivery.
- Actively engage with potential investors and procure third party capital for investment vehicles.
- Review and contribute to Stockland’s ESG Strategy and advocate for these objectives with all stakeholders.

**About You**:

- Tertiary qualifications in management, finance, property, or related field
- 10+ years commercial real estate and investment/funds management experience
- Previous funds management experience preferred.
- Experience in managing wholesale institutional investor relationships.
- Experience working with Investment Committees, Boards, and investors
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team and managing experience highly regarded.
- Advanced commercial analytical skills and strong commercial acumen
- Working relationships with major agents, investment banks, investment committees, boards, investors, advisors, capital partners and product origination.
- Enterprise-wide thinking, sound judgement and bringing a broad perspective to problem solving
- People leadership skills including coaching teams for high performance and driving strong engagement
- Bring a whole of company perspective and access capabilities across the group to achieve better outcomes
