**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Operational Management**:

- Oversee the daily operations of the transport and logistics teams, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Monitor the movement of goods, vehicles, and shipments to ensure timely delivery and compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain an accurate record of all logistics activities, including inventory levels, transportation schedules, and delivery statuses.
- **Staff Management**:

- Supervise and lead a team of drivers, warehouse personnel, and logistics coordinators.
- Coordinate and delegate tasks to staff members, ensuring all operations are executed effectively and efficiently.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and training to ensure a high level of operational proficiency.
- Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards in all operational activities.
- **Customer Service and Client Relations**:

- Maintain a strong relationship with clients, addressing any issues or concerns related to delivery times, logistics, or product conditions.
- Ensure that customer service levels meet or exceed agreed-upon standards and work to resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure that client needs are met and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- **Operational Efficiency**:

- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational processes, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring continuous enhancement of operational efficiency.
- Identify and implement best practices in transportation, logistics, and supply chain management to optimize cost and time savings.
- Manage the scheduling of shipments, vehicle routes, and warehouse activities to maximize capacity and productivity.
- **Budget Management and Cost Control**:

- Oversee the allocation of resources and ensure cost-effective management of logistics operations.
- Monitor budget expenditures, identifying opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining service quality.
- Prepare reports on operational performance, budget adherence, and cost-saving initiatives.
- **Compliance and Safety**:

- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation and safety regulations.
- Implement safety protocols and monitor adherence to health and safety policies to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Manage audits and inspections, ensuring all logistics practices meet regulatory standards.
- **Technology and Systems**:

- Utilize logistics management software and tracking systems to monitor real-time operations and performance.
- Identify and implement new technologies to streamline processes and improve operational outcomes.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of [2] years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, with at least [2] years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of logistics software and tools (e.g., TMS, WMS, ERP).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional operations.
- Solid understanding of transportation laws, regulations, and safety standards.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.

Pay: From $77,191.28 per year

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
