We are in the market for a self-motivated and experienced individual who is able to lead a team in providing efficient and effective general bushland maintenance tasks in the City’s bushland, estuary and coastal reserves. You are passionate about your profession and enjoy the rewards of a good challenge. - You provide leadership to ensure safety standards are maintained.
- You lead the team in providing bushland maintenance tasks including:
- native species identification and pruning;
- tree planting, guarding and monitoring;
- assessment monitoring and mapping activities within reserves;
- integrated weed control and identification;
- fence installation and repairs;
- general bushland, coastal, wetland rehabilitation and maintenance.
- You ensure the proper operation and security of materials, plant and equipment.
- You undertake daily regular maintenance and safety inspections of tools and machinery.
- You are skilled in traffic management.
- You provide on the job training and guidance to employees including trainees under supervision.
**What can you bring to the team?**
- Certificate IV in Conservation and Land Management/Certificate IV in Conservation and Ecosystem Management and/or Diploma in Conservation and Land Management.
- Current unrestricted C class national driver’s licence.
- Previous experience supervising employees and conducting practical staff training.
- Experience in general bushland rehabilitation construction and maintenance activities.
- Competent in the use of tablets, smartphones and other electronic devices.
- Current White Card.
- Current Basic First Aid Certificate.
- Current Basic Worksite Traffic Management and Traffic Controller Certificate.
