We are in the market for an experienced Team Leader, who is passionate about their profession and enjoys the rewards of a good challenge.

As the Team Leader Civil Maintenance, your main objective will be to manage and control the City’s civil maintenance operations, while maintaining a high level of customer service to assist ratepayers, residents and the wider community. On a daily basis, as the Team Leader, you will also implement and undertake the designated civil maintenance programs in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner and to agreed quality standards.

**What can you bring to the team?**
- Current certificate in Basic Worksite Traffic Management.
- Current White Card.
- Current unrestricted “MR” (Medium Rigid) class national driver’s licence.
- Cert III in Civil Construction (desirable).
- Completion of formal training in leading teams (desirable).
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a Civil Maintenance environment.
- Previous experience supervising employees and contractors and conducting practical staff training.
- Previous traffic control experience.
- Implement and monitor general OSH policies, procedures, and programs within the work group.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications.
- Proficient with concrete cutters, foot stampers, plate compactor, road making plant, general construction tools and equipment.
- Basic survey levelling and re-pegging.
- Calculating levels, measurements and quantities.
- Knowledge of materials and equipment estimating, budgetary preparation and control, costing and administration.
- Knowledge of kerbing, paving, concrete laying, reticulation and bitumen repair techniques, methods and quality control procedures.
- Workplace Diversity and Occupational Health and Safety principles, practices and legislation.
- Understanding contract management principles.
- As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to participate in a full pre-employment medical that includes drug and alcohol testing.

This fulltime Level 4 position attracts a salary range of $73,786 to $76,419 gross per annum dependent on qualifications and experience.
