- Full-time Ongoing position, 80 hours per fortnight
- Provide expert social work support within an acute inpatient team
- Inner West Area Mental Health Service

RMH are seeking a skilled and passionate Social Worker to join our Acute Adult Impatient Service based in Parkville. In this role, you will work as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team providing high-quality care to adults experiencing mental health challenges. This is an excellent opportunity to deepen your specialist skills in mental health, working with a supportive leadership team.

**About the role**:

- Conduct psychosocial assessments, casework, discharge planning, and family/carer support
- Collaborate with SW3s, Entry Level SW1s, and Lived Experience Peer Workers in a team-oriented setting
- Provide social work services across a 7-day roster, including weekend ward rounds, family engagement, and weekend discharges
- Receive supervision from an IW Senior Social Worker and engage in professional development
- Contribute to community liaison, support family interventions, and assist with the Carer Peer Support Workforce

**About you**:
**Qualifications**:

- An approved degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers

Essential
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Social Work
- Comply with all legal requirements pertaining to the position including responsibility for maintaining current registration as required by your professional organisation or other applicable acts

Desirable
- Fieldwork, paid or voluntary experience in general or psychiatric inpatient setting or in a community mental health program
- Experience in engaging and working with families utilising evidence-based family interventions
- Dual diagnosis experience and skills, or a willingness to acquire these
- Ability to speak a relevant community language
