Our client support a range of military and commercial systems and enhancement programs for the modern day solider is actively looking to expand its ILS and Technical Writing teams for multiple projects existing and new.

Those with experience within a Defence Industry or Military environment will be highly regarded and familiar writing under MIL-STDs and/or similar safety-critical regulations.

**The Role**:

- Understanding of ILS processes, those used in Navy, Army and Airforce requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of Defence writing standards - DEF(AUST) 5629.
- Strong technical documentation development skills
- Good communication and team skills with a dedicated approach to meeting customer requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships at all levels of the business and clients
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening and decision making skills
- Knowledge and understanding of technical regulations and current military protocols and processes for delivery of documentation against CASG/DoD and foreign military standards
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a high pressure environment

**Experience Required**:

- 5+ years Technical Writing or ILS experience, preferably within a Defence based environment.
- Experience working with military devices or systems.
- Australian Citizenship essential
- Defence industry experience desirable
- Tertiary or vocational qualifications in a technical trade or engineering stream (preferred but not essential)
