We are working with an Australian Government Department undertaking improvements to a specific area of their intranet and we have an opportunity for an experienced **Technical Writer** to join us on the journey.

Key responsibilities and experience will include:

- Solid experience as a Technical Writer or similar
- Re-write process steps/ update the language and structure of a segment of content currently on the intranet (SharePoint).
- Ability to translate complex process step into plain English to make it easier for staff to understand and follow
- Recommend improvements to the manner in which the information is presented on the intranet while ensuring it remains within the company’s user guidelines and accessibility policies.
- Liaise with project advisor to facilitate conversations with the Web Content team on web design requirements/guidelines
- Liaise with project to facilitate conversations with the relevant stakeholder groups (as required) to obtain user feedback on the recommendations being presented.
- Previous experience in the government sector preferred
- SharePoint experience an advantage but not a must have
- Knowledge and expertise in web site development
- Demonstrated customer relationship skills
