**What is the P&C Federation NSW?**

The P&C Federation NSW is a membership organisation and peak body representing the voice of public school parents and carers from 1,800 P&C Associations across NSW. This is an exciting period of change and growth, driven by new funding to allow increased service offerings to members.

The mission of the P&C Federation NSW is to empower P&C Associations and to promote and enhance public education in NSW.

**About the role**

Communications Manager is a new role, reporting to the CEO, suited to a proactive and high-energy professional working across all business areas to drive a coherent and effective communications strategy.

**Responsibilities**:

- Build and maintain the Federation’s brand throughout all communication channels
- Manage all media opportunities (proactive and reactive), working closely with, and advising the CEO and Board
- Review communications across all channels and audiences, championing a strategic approach that is consistent and evidence-based
- Lead flagship events, such as the annual conference
- Lead the development of a refreshed website
- Be responsible for all marketing: member engagement, events, and social media
- Participate actively as a key member of the organisation’s leadership team

**Skills and Experience**
- Degree, and or relevant experience in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations or similar discipline.
- Outstanding, proven writing and editing skills - the ability to translate nuanced themes into impactful, engaging messages.
- A strong record of high-impact campaigns and strategies
- Ability to write content for various audiences, tailored to multiple channels including socials, and the web.
- Strong customer focus in dealing with media, and internal and external stakeholders.
- Thorough knowledge of the social media and digital landscape with experience amplifying campaigns across multiple channels and platforms.
