**About the Company**
The Office for Early Childhood Development (OECD) will coordinate the response to the recommendations of the Royal Commission for Early Childhood Education and Care (working across all tiers of government) and work across sectors to plan for and implement preschool for 3-year-olds and other recommendations relating to the first 1000 days. The Office serves as a steward, leading change and overseeing the South Australian early childhood development system.
**About the Role**
As the Executive Officer you will deliver end-to-end executive support to the Chief Executive, ensuring a seamless flow of information within the agency and to key stakeholders. Reporting to the Business Manager, you'll provide day-to-day assistance to the Chief Executive by managing communications, liaising effectively, and overseeing their schedule. This role involves collaboration within a small team, offering insights, recommendations, and solutions. It requires a commitment to confidentiality, discretion, and the ability to navigate high-intensity work periods with rapidly changing priorities, where meeting deadlines is crucial.
Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Confidential and comprehensive diary management for the Chief Executive.
- Administrative support, including managing logístical arrangements for meetings and functions.
- Liaison with key personnel for accurate and timely briefings.
- Control administrative functions within the Chief Executive's office.
- Undertake projects for continuous improvement of administrative processes.
- Identify trends, mitigate risks, and propose solutions.
- Prioritise work in a fast-paced environment, managing deadlines with confidence.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
- Proactively responding to requests
- Providing Quality Assurance to documents on behalf of the CE
- Working cooperatively with the Business Support team
**Experience, Knowledge, and Skills**:
- Experience working within Government
- Experience supporting a Chief Executive or Executive Director
- High-level organisational / time management skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate confidently and assertively with the Chief Executive, senior executives and other employees and stakeholders to foster productive working relationships
- Ability to use initiative and work under limited direction, meeting tight deadlines, and identifying potential risks and new developments.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, personal integrity, and exercise judgment and discretion with sensitive information
