The occupant of this position provides high level executive support to the Deputy Commissioner, who is also the Assistant Secretary of the Income Support branch in the Client Benefits Division, by undertaking and managing various activities, projects and representative duties.

This includes being a part of and working together with the Deputy Commissioners Executive Support Team, high level project work, cross branch coordination activities, coordination of Executive Committees and preparation of complex correspondence.

The Executive Officer is required to think strategically, develop strong working relationships across Government, and have a high attention to detail. The Executive Officer is expected to work closely with the team of Directors, along with their staff, on a daily basis. The position is full time and located in Adelaide.

To be successful in this challenging and rewarding role, you will be self-motivated, have excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills, strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to manage competing priorities.

**Duties**
- Work collaboratively with the Executive Assistant to ensure effective executive support, including use of Outlook calendars and GovTeams;
- Liaise closely and work collaboratively with the Income Support Branch Directors
- Assist in coordinating Income Support Branch reporting requirements
- Allocate tasks and coordinate responses to requests made to the Branch;
- Prepare speeches, electoral and other briefs, notes and letters;
- Coordinate and quality assure briefs;
- Manage the Client Escalation and Liaison Officer, who is responsible for the drafting and collation of correspondence on behalf of the Income Support Branch;
- Undertake Electoral Liaison Officer duties;
- Liaise and manage relationships with the Ex-service community representatives;
- Represent the Deputy Commissioner at commemorative and other events;
- Manage local events, training and meetings in liaison with local Corporate Support, Property and Security;
- Manage and coordinate responses for issues affecting DVA in South Australia;
- Manage high level local property related issues;
- Arrange, manage and provide secretariat support for locally based fora, including the Deputy Commissioners Consultative Forum and a range of internal staff committees;
- Coordinate and draft input to corporate documents.

**Notes**

A merit pool will be established that may be used to fill similar positions within the next 18 months.
