**In this Associate Director, External Communications role you will**:

- Support the planning, advice and execution of the Communication strategy, including developing and executing integrated communications plans.
- Lead overall press office activity, including accountability of inbound and outbound media engagement, press office documentation and systems, and analytics and reporting.
- Lead and influence daily news flow and prioritisation (such as weekly editorial meetings), as well as contribute to long term projects.
- Bring the outside in, by helping to drive business decisions that will build trust and drive change for the benefit of customers, communities and NAB, and by pursuing new, innovative and effective communications approaches.

**What you will bring**:

- Demonstrable experience within Communications/Media/Newsroom Production/Digital news, ideally with a media organisation and developed over 10+ years
- Outstanding communication, both written and verbal, can confidently tailor communication for different audiences.
- Creative problem solving, able to find innovative solutions and navigate through obstacles with confidence.
- A passion for storytelling with a deep interest in news and current events.
