**About the Role**

This Associate Director position sits within NAB’s Corporate Affairs team, this role supports enterprise-wide employee communications with a particular focus on triple bottom line performance (including climate, group strategy and financial outcomes, including remuneration). You will also be responsible for supporting the execution of the Employee Communications plan, consistent with NAB’s Corporate Affairs strategy and strategic ambition.

**What you'll be doing**
- Planning, advice and execution of activities aligned to communication plans
- Innovative communications and story-telling delivered in the appropriate style of language and channel for the target audiences.
- Support issues management aligned with the project.
- Bring the outside in, by helping to drive business decisions that will build trust and drive change for the benefit of customers and colleagues, and by pursuing new, innovative, creative and effective communications approaches.
- Proactively manage risk; meet all policy and compliance requirements; perform controls; adhere to Process and Procedures pertinent to role; and escalate events, issues or breaches as they are identified.
- Lead development and execution of colleague communication strategies that help build and protect reputation and drive change for the benefit of customers, colleagues, shareholders and communities.
- Risk management, including identification, mitigation and management of issues with a focus on building trust in NAB, and appropriate stakeholder engagement that aligns with Corporate Affairs advice.
- Positively contributing to NAB’s culture, taking the time to reflect on self and actively explore development opportunities.

**What you'll bring**
- 10+ years’ experience in Communications/Media and Public Relations/Employee Engagement.
- Demonstrated experience as a trusted advisor who influences outcomes with senior to mid-tier executives/stakeholders and/or mitigates issues to achieve communications objectives.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple issues and stakeholders, while working in a dynamic, cross functional and collaborative team environment to achieve Communications outcomes.
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications or related field preferred.
