**Head of Rental Housing**

**About the opportunity**

As a key member of the Uniting Leadership team you will be responsible for contributing to the development of the Uniting strategy and incorporating this into the business plan of the Property and Housing Directorate You'll be responsible for the operation of ALL aspects of Rental Housing, including managing and developing a team, strategic positioning, business planning, budgeting and reporting, project management and the delivery of key performance indicators.

**What you'll be doing in this role**
- Advocating for people in need of affordable housing in consultation with Uniting's Advocacy team
- Position Uniting to be an effective provider of sustainable and affordable housing solutions within NSW & ACT
- Maintain appropriate balance between financial sustainability and social impact consistent with Uniting’s objectives
- Ensure Uniting and tenants comply with relevant contractual obligations, including in relation to Government Authorities
- Financial performance, stewardship and efficient use of Uniting's rental housing assets

**Who we're looking for**

You will have Post Graduate and/or Bachelor qualification in a relevant business field or equivalent experience.
- At least 8 years' experience in a senior leadership role with strong financial business acumen and high strategic capability
- Demonstrable understanding of and experience in the community housing sector and provision of affordable rental housing
- Knowledge and understanding of the regulatory environment relating to community housing including relevant legislation, regulations, codes and practices
- Passion for social change and creating an organisation of influence for the most disadvantaged
