Policy and Program Leadership: Lead the development, implementation, and delivery of culturally appropriate initiatives and policies aligned with the Voice to Parliament and Closing the Gap targets. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with government, community, and industry stakeholders through consultation, collaboration, and representation on committees and working groups. Executive Support: Assist the Executive Director, Strategic Engagement with strategic advice, issue identification, and opportunities for improved program delivery. Team Leadership: Provide direction and leadership to foster initiative, teamwork, and the achievement of high-level outcomes within set timeframes. Strategic Planning: Identify and prioritise strategic opportunities, sustainability planning, and trends to guide and shape outcomes. Expert Advice and Reporting: Deliver high-level advice and oversee the preparation of complex reports, submissions, and briefing papers in a timely and accurate manner. First Nations Engagement: Strengthen relationships and connections to encourage First Nations participation and engagement in achieving Voice to Parliament objectives. Closing the Gap Oversight: Develop and maintain planning strategies for effective Closing the Gap policy development and implementation. Mentoring and Coaching: Provide culturally specific guidance, mentoring, and coaching to others where needed.

• The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
• The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
• Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
• Some interstate travel involving overnight absences will be required.
• This role requires a Working with Children check.
• This role requires a National Criminal History check.
  This position is an Aboriginal and/or Torrens Strait Islander designated position.

Strategic Engagement leads the development and implementation of strategies, policy and innovative programs to support Government's strategic objectivesStrategic Engagement will lead Key cross government and community engagement activities to inform the development, delivery and implementation and of range of high-profile projects and policy initiatives, contribute to critical issues management and strategic planning to deliver Government and organisational priorities in a consistent and cohesive way.
