**TRANSFOMATIONAL AGED CARE PROJECT**

The Maggie Beer Foundation was founded by Maggie in 2014 to improve food experiences for all ageing Australians including those living in aged care. Committed to working with governments and health professionals, the Foundation is recognised as a leader in the quest for better dining experience in aged care. The Federal Government has announced a significant investment through the Foundation to deliver a three year plan to enable proper focus on food in aged care, including development of new standards and to provide education and training programs to support the sector in achieving mandated objectives.

The Foundation seeks to appoint a Project Lead to design, manage and implement this project. Working with senior management the appointee will develop and drive the strategy to deliver this project in collaboration with government, alliance partners, ageing Australia advocacy groups and the community in general. Key areas of responsibility will include:

- strategic planning and leadership of the project and communication of its objectives to all stakeholders and partners;
- extensive development and management of strong and productive relationships with key stakeholders and partners;
- establishing and managing appropriate project governance, risk management and compliance including reporting and advice to the Foundation;
- financial oversight and reporting, ensuring a profitable and sustainable business model for the project.

Applications are encouraged from appropriately qualified professionals with management experience in multi-functioned service environments. The capacity to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders and previous experience engaging across multiple levels of government and community will be well regarded. A genuine affinity with the mission of the Foundation is essential as are contemporary leadership skills, highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and a results-driven approach. Experience in aged care, health, human services and broader not-for-profit sectors will be well regarded but not considered essential.
