**The opportunity**

Our client is a community focused federal government agency. They have an exciting opportunity available for an Insights & Reporting Officer to help oversee a range of service improvement initiatives to improve frontline capability and service delivery.

12-month initial contract with opportunity for extension. APS5 level role with an expected rate of $53.63 per hour + Superannuation, with the option to be based out of Melbourne, Geelong, Sydney or Perth, including 2 days working from home each week, with the remaining 3 on site.

**The role**

The APS5 Insights and Reporting Officer will provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support, and advice in relation to complex problems. It may be required to coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development that support the Agency's objectives

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Supporting the interpretation of qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources
- Conducting qualitative and quantitative research and evaluation activities to provide information on engagement outputs, outcomes, and impacts
- Developing analysis, insights, and recommendations to support teams and decision-makers to make evidence-based and data-informed decisions
- Producing reports and dashboards to monitor performance, outcomes, and impact of engagement activities
- Preparing draft written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation
- Improving the communication of data through creative storytelling and visualisation to multiple audience groups
- Using analysis tools and software (e.g. NVivo, Power BI)

**About you**
- Effective communication and ability to negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders
- Scheduling and Time Management skills
- Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving skills with the ability to be proactive and use critical thinking to navigate complex projects
- Background in Disability or Government highly advantageous
- Australian citizenship is a requirement to be eligible for this position
