**Gateway Support Services are excited to be seeking a Full Time Support Coordinator in Werribee.**

**About the organization**
Gateways is recognized and respected for our expertise in supporting children and adults with a broad range of disabilities including autism, intellectual disabilities, developmental delays, challenging behaviors and complex medical needs. We are committed to providing quality, safety and wellbeing to every person we support.

We currently provide services throughout the Geelong region, Western Melbourne, Warrnambool and South West Victoria.

Services includes early intervention and therapy, support coordination, group recreation and skill development activities, individual in-home support as well as parent support and education, day activities, housing and support for adults as well as children in out of home care.

**About the role**
The position as a Support Coordinator assists people with a disability by coordinating and implementing all supports that are funded in their NDIS plan. This includes regularly liaising with participants, careers, families and external stakeholders.

Our Support Coordination team are highly valued and we are known for our responsive, effective, accountable and problem solving expertise. Insights from our Specialist Support Coordinators are highly sought after, we have experienced Team Leaders and Managers with extensive knowledge of the NDIS and lived experienced of disability.

Ultimately, the role of a Support Coordinator is to ensure the support plan is properly put into place.

**To be eligible for this position you will require (Key Selection Criteria)**:

- A strong knowledge and understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and disability industry or have a passion for this industry
- Relevant tertiary qualification or certificate with relevant experience, or relevant extensive experience in case management, disability or community services is highly regarded
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain one)
- Valid Australian Driver’s License
- Cleared Victorian Working with Children Check
- Covid Vaccination Certificate (including booster)
- Valuing attitudes and commitment to people with disabilities and their families
- A high standard of professional integrity and accountability
- A belief in team work and cooperation
- Comprehensive knowledge of disability, community service systems as well as NDIS, legislation, policy and service standards is highly regarded
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to communicate effectively with all different personalities
- Excellent time management skills
- High level IT literacy and administration skills

Successful applicants will be required to supply a current Working with Children check for an employee. If you have lived outside of Australia for more than 12 months in the last 10 years, you will be required to supply an international police check from the country where you lived.
