Maxima Group is looking for someone with experience and understanding of a local government role and requirements for the levying of rates, charges and property administration.

This role will see you performing rates operational activities, including data entry and administration of rates assessments and properties, responding to customer enquiries.

It is a casual role with casual hourly rate, negotiable depending on experience.

**Key Responsibilities include but not limited to**:

- Update rates files prior to levy processing including importing new costs, compiling rates adjustments, processing approved journals and refunds, making owner suppressed records available for rating, and data cleansing.
- Undertake rates reporting and reconciliations including sewerage connection exception reports, Logan Waste reconciliation and monthly statistics reports.
- Undertake operational ownership registrations including printing title transfers, undertaking title search checks, recording Crown Reserves, and transferring to and from exempt entities.
- Pensioner concession verifications.
- Provide assistance to Revenue & Property Administrative Officers and assist with internal training.
- Review and update property valuations including processing approved valuation changes and re-numbering, and processing associated land use, rate type and property condition changes.
- Undertake customer service duties including investigating returned mail, liaising with Australia Post on new locations, responding to ratepayer queries, and providing rates estimates for new developments.
- Assist other sections during high workloads and pre-levy.
