Group Chief Financial Officer

Burger Urge (BU) have been making delicious and juicy burgers for 15 years We believe in making burgers the way they should be, with premium local ingredients, delicious, classic, and on trend recipes.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Group CFO will oversee and be responsible for the financial management of Burger Urge and all associated businesses. This role is accountable for accurate reporting of financial results, managing the company’s financial affairs, and actioning initiatives.

The job
- Providing strong leadership to the finance department and business as a whole during a period of transformation and growth;
- Managing financial forecasting and budgets, overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting;
- Conducting strategic reviews of the existing and planned structure, operations and capability of each department to be able to deliver the expected level of outcomes;
- Communicating advancements in a concise, transparent, and consistent manner so it is actioned;
- Creating and implementing a range of new systems and processes ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget;
- Manage both the franchise and corporate finances;
- Demonstrating a willingness to be innovative to make the best use of all available resources effectively and productively in a cost-efficient manner;
- Maintain relationships with the business stakeholders;

About you
- 10+ years’ experience in a senior finance management role;
- Current tenure must be an executive position;
- Must have experience in the hospitality industry;
- CA/CPA membership;
- Must be “hands on” and willing to perform any tasks;
- Comprehension of the franchise operating model;
- Understanding of XERO, Fathom, Power BI, POS Systems, ASANA or Microsoft Project.
