**About the role**
Based in the Brisbane office and reporting to the Team Leader GLNG Planning and Analysis, this role provides production planning and economic evaluation of commercial opportunities including identifying and championing improvement opportunities for the Santos GLNG joint venture. This position requires working with various groups including Gas Marketing and Origination, Commercial Operations,Marketing and other technical groups to provide integrated supply chain analysis, economic evaluations, recommendations to support the ongoing operations of the entire supply chain and the development of commercial opportunities.
**Working in line with Santos company values and Santos Management System (SMS), key responsibilities of the role include though are not limited to**:
- Coordinating and issuing report for the daily integrated supply chain meeting with Upstream and Downstream operations, Commercial Operations and Shipping Operations
- Working with planning groups for various teams across the GLNG project to develop and procure supply & demand capacity forecasts along with other commercial and technical assumptions required to develop production plans over the various planning timeframes for the GLNG project; reviewing this information and the basis for this information to ensure that it is fit for purpose and fully reflective of all the required relevant commercial and technical elements; working with stakeholder management to ensure buy-in to planning process and accountability for forecasts and assumptions that have been provided.
- Providing the production planning interface with Downstream Operations and LNG Marketing through the development of the Annual Delivery Program (ADP) for shipping managing assessment. Working closely with LNG Marketing to develop plans that the maximise the production of LNG through the annual delivery program.
- Being accountable for forecasts of production and offtake across the project for the purposes of budgeting and long-term economic evaluation; ensuring that users of these forecasts are aware of the underlying assumptions and the impact of key sensitivities to these assumptions; presenting and communicating these forecasts to GLNG management and partners.
- Developing recommendations with respect to the optimisation of supply and production through the 90-day period and beyond including usage of RUGS, linepack and LNG Plant strings to minimise FFV.
- Working with stakeholders across the business to ensure successful management of gas supplies, identifying key risks and opportunities to near gas supply and stewarding the implementation of appropriate strategies.
- Assisting in the creation, use, development, maintenance and continued improvement of models which support supply production planning processes.
- Supporting gas supply management around supply management during shutdown or turndown events.
- Supporting the commercial and economic evaluation of third party gas opportunities; working with appropriate teams to provide assessments, advising and recommending commercial/contractual arrangements from a commercial, operational and economic perspective.
- Supporting the Middle Office governance function for trading activities including providing weekly price advice for trading activities along with deal economic and compliance evaluation
- Developing, maintaining and updating knowledge bank on relevant aspects of both the East Australian gas market and the wider LNG industry; serving as a conduit for this information to the Upstream
