**About the Company**
Davidson has partnered with a large QLD Government Department to assist with the recruitment of multiple Economic Analysts for a 1-month casual contract (with possible extension). This Department focuses on securing responsible economic development and liveable communities through place-based solutions that leverage regional strengths. These positions are part of the Commercial Evaluation and Management Team contributing to better outcomes for Queenslanders by implementing the policies, priorities, services, or programs of the elected government.

**About the Role**

You will be required to:

- Manage and undertake economic evaluation, benchmarking, crowding out, additionality, and project assessment using in-house economic modelling techniques and tools and program guidelines.
- Provide expert and timely economic and value for money assessments in the form of reports to decision-makers, including interdepartmental working groups and panels of funding programs.
- Undertake the development of key performance indicators for strategic major projects after consideration of value for money and economic impact assessments, including development of benefits identification and realisation metrics and measures.
- Coordinate responses to Queensland-related foreign investment proposals and provide responses to Federal Treasury.
- Assist with commercial assessments and funding agreement development, as required.
- Assist with reporting and monitoring Funding Agreements using spreadsheets.

**About You**

As an Economic Analyst, you will be demonstrate:

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in economic analysis, economic modelling, and project management.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in conducting cost/benefit and cost/effectiveness analysis, state revenue impact, multi-criteria analysis, and economic impact assessments.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex economic analysis in a clear and concise manner to non-technical audiences.
- Experience working with government agencies, funding programs, and regulatory bodies.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
