Your new opportunity

This newly created position within the Treasury Transactions Team has been established to meet the growing demand for innovative solutions that enable deliveryof infrastructure and services in  partnership with the private sector. As a Commercial Analyst, you will undertake exciting and high-impact work, helping to shape Queensland's infrastructure and strategic investments.

By joining Queensland Treasury, you will play a key role in delivering projects and programs that foster private sector innovation and investment in public infrastructure. You'll apply your analytical skills and commercial expertise to provide strategic advice across projects spanning infrastructure delivery, property development, and service transformation.

This opportunity allows you to contribute to the delivery of significant initiatives that secure Queensland's economic advancement while protecting the State's interests and supporting financial sustainability.

In this role, you will:
• Provide high-level advice and support to government and stakeholders on complex commercial issues.

• Undertake detailed analysis of risks and policy options for major projects, property transactions, and service delivery models.

• Develop tailored solutions that align with the State's economic and financial objectives.

• Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders through effective liaison and negotiation.

• Assist in drafting reports, briefing notes, presentations, policy documents, and correspondence to support decision-making.

• Collaborate with colleagues across Treasury to deliver cohesive, whole-of-government advice.

What experience you will bring:

• Stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.

• The ability to analyse and communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences.

• Capability to prioritise tasks and deliver outcomes in tight timeframes.

• Expertise in working independently and collaboratively to achieve challenging objectives.

• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

• A solutions-focused approach to addressing complex challenges effectively.

Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
