**About the Company**
Davidson has partnered with a large QLD Government Department to assist with the recruitment of multiple Commercial Analysts for a 1-month casual contract (with possible extension). This Department focuses on securing responsible economic development and liveable communities through place-based solutions that leverage regional strengths. These positions are part of the Commercial Evaluation and Management Team contributing to better outcomes for Queenslanders by implementing the policies, priorities, services, or programs of the elected government.

**About the Role**
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Analyst to undertake specialist commercial, due diligence, and financial analyses of programs, major projects, and initiatives based on sound commercial practices and guidelines. You will develop high-quality risk management recommendations and solutions and contribute to the development and implementation of programs and initiatives that identify, implement, and monitor project risks.

As the Commercial Analyst, you will be required to:

- Undertake basic probity searches for incentive programs and other initiatives, as requested.
- Undertake comprehensive due diligence, commercial, and risk assessments on projects and proponents for various incentive programs.
- Prepare reports to support the development of business cases and terms sheets.
- Undertake due diligence, management capability, and funding capacity assessments on projects and proponents for declared projects under the SPWO Act.
- Coordinate responses to Queensland-related foreign investment proposals and provide responses to Federal Treasury.
- Assist with sensitive negotiations and commercial and financial analyses in relation to major projects and proposals

**About You**

As a suitable applicant, you will demonstrate:

- A degree in commerce, economics, business, or a related field.
- Experience in undertaking commercial and financial analyses and developing risk management solutions.
- Strong knowledge of sound commercial practices and guidelines.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in working in a government or public sector environment is desirable.
