**About us**:
CW Aviation Security Consulting (CW-ASC) is a consulting company that works with government and industry at the regulatory and operational level on aviation security and facilitation strategy, governance, oversight, and training.
CW-ASC’s clients include foreign governments, foreign airports, international aviation organisations, the Australian Government, Australian airports, Australian security screening providers, regulated air cargo agents, and other consulting companies.
Its mission is to empower organisations to unlock the social and economic benefits that come with secure and reliable air transport connectivity.
**It specialises in**:
- Change management, including turning around under-performing teams in challenging environments
- Advising governments and industry in distressed regulatory environments
- Developing strategies to lift organisations up to international best practice
- Advising on start-up or transitional screening operations; and
- Conducting in-depth audit and compliance reviews and vulnerability assessments.
CW-ASC’s core values are sustainability, partnership, communication and integrity.
CW-ASC is also the parent company of Accreditation Group, which assists the aviation, air cargo, and maritime industries meet their Australian Government security screener accreditation requirements in accordance with the Department of Home Affairs Cyber and Infrastructure Security Centre Screener Accreditation Scheme.
CW-ASC is only small, but we’re growing, and we need an experienced Executive Assistant / Services Coordinator to be part of that growth.
**About the job**:
We need someone who is an all-rounder, who loves to problem solve, and enjoys new challenges and learning new things.
Experience as an EA or services coordinator is essential. The role would suit someone with experience working in small firms who have been called on to do a little bit of everything.
If you have experience setting up systems and procedures, we’d love that too. As the business is evolving, we’re setting up a lot of new processes, and it’d be great if you could be a part of that. Experience with Excel, Xero (or similar), database or rostering systems, invoicing. All of this would be looked on very favourably.
**What we need**
- Experience organising travel and doing expense acquittal
- Finance/bookkeeping skills (experience with Xero would be great)
- Invoicing
- Payroll / superannuation
- Experience with Word, Excel
- Great written and verbal communication skills.
- Database management, and basic data analysis, including reviewing screener data to determine when they need to be accredited
- Entering new screeners into the accreditation system, and managing our screener accreditation database
- Client follow up and accreditation scheduling
- Accreditation schedule management
**What would be great, but not essential**
- Experience setting up systems and procedures. This is a new business, and the accreditation scheme is a new scheme, so if you have experience setting up bookkeeping systems, and databases to keep track of accreditors and client needs, we want to hear from you.
- Website/IT savvy
- Marketing, promotion, social media
- Experience with PowerPoint
- Experience writing proposals or quotes
You will need to be able to work independently and make independent decisions at times.
You’ll also need to be comfortable working remotely, which can feel isolating at times. But you’ll spend a lot of time coordinating with the Director, clients, sub-contractors and Accreditors, so there will be plenty of opportunities to interact with people (even if it’s just virtually).
At the end of the day, we can train skills, but we can’t train attitude, so if you meet a lot of these requirements (but not all of them), and you have a history of having a positive attitude, great work ethic, and the ability to learn, then we want to hear from you.
The hours are flexible. It would suit someone who needs school hours flexibility, someone returning to the workforce after a career break, or an experienced person towards the end of their career who is seeking a flexible role.
As CW-ASC is a growing company, there is a genuine opportunity for this role to grow with us, both in terms of hours and responsibility.
**What we offer**:
- $41.50 per hour plus 11% superannuation
- Remote working and flexible working hours (one day per fortnight in the office, and the rest from home, or on the beach, or in a hot air balloon. If the work is getting done, it doesn't matter where you are).
- The opportunity to grow the position as the business grows
- The opportunity to do your part to keep airline and cruise ship passengers secure
- Autonomy and responsibility
- A supportive working environment where you know that you’re valued, and you know that you can ask questions and challenge existing processes
- The training, development and mentoring you need to do your job.
