Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) Flexible Schools Ltd educates over 2,200 young people in 22 Flexible Learning Schools (12 based in Queensland and 10 other schools across Australia) and serves young people who experience complex educational, social or psychological situations which demand unique responses. They enable young people to engage in education in a supported learning environment through a methodology based on trauma informed practice, in which the principles of operation (Honesty, Respect, Participation, Safe & Legal) are embedded.

As the Executive Assistant to the National Director of School Support, you will play a pivotal role by providing high-level administrative, organisational and communication support. You will manage confidential matters with discretion, coordinate events and meetings, oversee regular reporting processes, maintain accurate records, and liaise confidently with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional executive support to the National Director of School Support.
  • Manage complex diaries, scheduling and coordination of meetings and events.
  • Prepare and collate Board papers and reports.
  • Book and coordinate travel.
  • Prioritise and respond to emails, calls and other communications.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare agendas, attend meetings, take minutes and track actions.
  • Deliver ad-hoc administrative support across varied tasks and projects.

About You

  • 3–5+ years' experience as an Executive Assistant (education sector experience ideal but not essential).
  • A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of your work.
  • Proven experience supporting Board reporting cycles, preparing Board packs.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management and uncompromising attention to detail.
  • Advanced MS Office skills.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and exercise sound judgement.
  • Collaborative, diplomatic and confident engagement with stakeholders at all levels.
