**Looking for a role that allows you to take deep ownership of your work?**
You will provide technical and operational direction to our Worker’s Compensation team VIC, with an emphasis on ensuring the appropriate levels of technical engagement occurs via well aligned processes and programs. This role is important to ensuring that timely technical intervention occurs over the lifecycle of each claim, that our technical specialists are aware and capable of undertaking their responsibilities and that our processes and programs are described, implemented, complied with and controlled.
**You'll be responsible for**:
- Developing key relationships with relevant Worksafe staff and become aware of the regulators key scheme liability management objectives, plans and expectations of its Agents.
- Direct management responsibility of WorkSafe’s Integrity Review program and direct reporting responsibilities of the Claims Specialists dedicated to that program.
- Creating processes and procedures that support the wider program objectives of ensuring consistent and strategic Technical Specialist intervention into case management.
- Ensuring all programs have adequate targets, controls and measures in place and that performance is regularly reviewed and communicated.
- Ownership of Policy and Procedure documents, including any changes and enhancements that are relevent to the technical intervention programs.
- Monitoring, assessing, and reporting on any environmental developments that have the potential to impact upon claims strategies and performance.
- Provide recommendations to the Claims Manager into projects and initiatives that can improve our claims management objectives.
**Important to your success**:
- Expert knowledge of the Victorian Workers Compensation Scheme including; objectives, relevant legislation, policies and procedures, claims management model and cost drivers.
- Experience working within the Victorian Scheme, preferably within and Agent environment.
- Leadership experience - having worked in roles responsible for the direct management and development of people.
- Highly developed stakeholder relationship and management skills.
- Experience in project management and operational improvement - including target setting; process/performance analysis, development, improvement, and reporting.
