We are looking for someone to take responsibility to work within the Quality and Systems Department managing product knowledge, disseminating that knowledge across the business, by working with the product development team, implementing, and ensuring compliance with product manufacturing controls, and support customers and sales to ensure specifications and performance expectations are met.
Our client, an industry leader in Label Production is looking for someone to Technical Quality Improvement Lead. We are looking for someone to take responsibility to work within the Quality and Systems Department managing product knowledge, disseminating that knowledge across the business, by working with the product development team, implementing, and ensuring compliance with product manufacturing controls, and support customers and sales to ensure specifications and performance expectations are met.
As a member of the company's management team, the Technical Quality Improvement Lead also participates in the identification and implementation of process improvements, reporting on the root causes internally and to the customers though the NCR / complaints system, to increase quality and efficiency and reduce waste within the company's operations.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Ensuring quality systems, products and materials' specifications to meet standards
- Work with Sales team and customers to understand their requirements and link thatunderstanding with materials specifications and process control measures and testing.
- Managing complaints, investigate and initiate corrective actions with Process Managers as required.
- Notify customers of corrective and preventative actions. Approving return, reprints and credits.
- Provide timely technical reports to business teams and customers for best quality outcomes.
- Participate and support internal and external Audits coordinated by the Business Systems coordinator.
- Support the internal auditing system and participate internal audits to verify the implementation of process controls.
**Education / Qualifications / Experiences required**:
- Have a strong technical / science-based aptitude or Tertiary Education.
- Experienced in initiating process and feasibility test plans and methods to measure products physical and chemical properties.
- Having strong interpersonal skills to support discussion and collaborate with clients
- Have strong IT competency to support data analysis and management.
- Experience in Printing / Plastics/ Packaging / Food Technologies is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively, be pro-active, flexible and self-manage your time
- Knowledge of and planning for GMP and HACCP systems upkeeps and practices are preferred.
