**The Position**

The governing Board of North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network seek to appoint three new Directors to continue augmenting the organisation’s governance, influence and reputation, contributing to improved health outcomes for the community.

The organisation is regarded as a highly credible and valuable contributor to the primary health landscape in the central, north and west region of Melbourne and seeks Non-Executive Directors with the following capabilities:

- Experience and qualifications in clinical General Practice and/or primary care
- A background in data/research/health economics and an understanding of how service systems evolve
- A well-developed understanding of the health environment and/or the political environment

These Non-Executive Director positions will suit people who have a fundamental belief that everyone has a right to the best health care.

**The Organisation**

Primary Health Networks are a key part of the Australian Government’s National Health Reforms and represent an increased focus on primary care - including general practice, allied health and community health.

North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network plays a key role in improving primary health care in Melbourne’s north and west.

North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network contributes to improved primary health outcomes in various ways, including identifying the health needs of the local area and commissioning and supporting the development of locally focused, effective and responsive services.
