DataGene Limited delivers innovative, pre-competitive services to the dairy herd improvement industry. DataGene enables farmers to make timely and effective data driven decisions in genetics and herd management. The Board of DataGene is responsible for approving strategic and operating plans and setting performance targets.

The Board ensures policies and systems are in place to manage risk and ensure high standards of accountability, ethical behaviour and legal compliance in accordance with DataGene’s compliance framework. The Board is currently made up of 7 directors with a range of skills in line with the needs of industry and set by its constitution.

In line with the DataGene constitution and schedule of Director nominations, we are now seeking 3 applicants with the following skills and experience:

- **Director** **-** **Milk** **Producer** **-** Strong background and experience in all facets of farming/ milk production/dairy farm systems and demonstrated capability in identifying and evaluating technology and service programs to support the industry. It is expected that this position will be filled by an existing milk producer.
- **Director - Genetic Supply Chain - **Strong background and experience in the genetic supply chain including herd recording and capability in identifying and evaluating technology and service programs to identify opportunities for the industry to improve profitability. A comprehensive understanding of dairy farm systems, drivers of farm profitability and emerging farm technologies will be highly regarded.
- **Director - Applied Research, Development & Implementation - **Proven ability linking research and development activities to practical implementation, with a strong focus on innovation in agribusiness. A strong preference would be on farming/dairy genetic experience and a deep understanding and proven experience in the successful implementation of R&D program outcomes will be required.
