Exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to manage the inclusive and creative assets, programs and services provided by Tweed Shire Council to meet the needs of our communities. The role will manage a diverse unit of approximately 30 staff across Community Wellbeing, Tweed Regional Art Gallery and Margaret Olley Art Centre, Tweed Regional Museum, Cemeteries and Libraries. Providing leadership for the unit consistent with strategic and business plans. The incumbent requires the ability to manage staff while taking on a future-oriented approach to priority resources, and will establish strategies and plans to ensure inclusion of our community.

**About the role**:

- Represent the Unit at the most senior levels including Council workshops, ELT and collaborate with other internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop, implement and communicate strategic plans, policies, and objectives in accordance with Council’s Community Strategic Plan, Delivery and Resourcing plans.
- Promote innovation within the Unit and other organisational levels.
- Develop, implement, and maintain systems to ensure legislative and statutory compliance with various Acts and Statutes of Law.
- Lead and support a diverse team to ensure alignment with the effective delivery of the Unit’s programs, within capacity and resource levels.
