Now, we’re on the lookout for a Group Financial Reporting Manager to join the team at Funlab’s Support Office in Abbotsford - someone who’s passionate about people, driven by fun, and ready to create unforgettable experiences.
This role is an 18-month maternity leave cover contract.

- What You'll Do
- Take charge of our month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reporting across all jurisdictions
- Prepare and review financial reports and commentary for board, audit committee and banking packs
- Oversee regulatory compliance including BAS/GST, income tax instalments, FBT, withholding tax and sales tax within relevant districts
- Own the preparation of statutory financial statements for NZ and the consolidated group
- Review and maintain control over the Group’s balance sheet
- Be the go-to for technical accounting matters - from IFRS16 lease accounting (portfolio of 50+ leases) to impairment testing, and guide the team through complex challenges
- Mentor and develop a team of talented accountants, contributing to the collaborative, high-performing finance crew that loves a challenge (and a bit of fun)
- Partner with department heads and venue leaders to provide insights that drive performance and smart decision-making

What You've Got
- CA/CPA qualified with a minimum 7 years’ experience in financial reporting or technical accounting
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS (demonstrated knowledge in IFRS 16 and impairment modelling is essential)
- Leadership skills that inspire trust, teamwork, and growth
- Experience across complex, multi-entity and multi-jurisdictional businesses (NetSuite knowledge is a plus)
- Clear and approachable communication style, making finance understandable, not intimidating
- Proactive, ability to work autonomously, with a sense of urgency and a positive can-do attitude
- Well organised planner who works well under timeline pressures
- Proven ability to build and manage relationships with different stakeholders
