**_The Opportunity_**?**
**Northern Star Resources** has an opportunity for an experienced **Clinic Coordinator** to join the team on a **permanent full-time basis.** Reporting to the** Health & Safety Superintendent - Health**, this newly created role will support the business, and work a 50/50 split between our Head Office in **Subiaco** and our remote site operations across **Western Australia.**
- Key responsibilities include:_
- Visibly drive, develop & champion a positive health & safety culture across the business, displaying a genuine passion for all facets of health & wellbeing, and a clear commitment to zero harm.
- Liaise with site management to ensure that clinics are appropriately resourced to support ongoing mining operations.
- Work with site medical teams to provide input into the development, implementation and review of systems, policies and procedures to ensure understanding of risks associated with relevant work.
- Provide advice to on-site OHNs on treatment and response protocols according to NSR standards through facilitating communication and collaboration.
- Oversee Health Services Permit compliance and assist site clinics to manage storage, transfer and dispose of scheduled medications.
- Provide assistance as required to the injury management team in management of injuries and facilitation of return-to-work programs.
- Assist in development and rollout of preventative health promotion programs focusing on injury reduction and improved health outcomes for employees.
- Provide assistance to site clinics alongside the relevant Occupational Hygienist in conducting Health Monitoring programs aligned to the NSR Health Monitoring Guideline.
- Provide training and instruction to new medical personnel assisting site with onboarding and familiarisation of the medical centre and company standards and processes.
- Ensuring that equipment required for the work is properly selected, fit-for-purpose, and serviceable according to health permit requirements and standards and nurses are trained in its use.
- Ensure relevant compliances are held by personnel in medical roles on site e.g., registration is current and suitable, DAS training completed etc.
- Review clinical training standards to ensure compliance and continual improvement.
- Oversee and collate monthly clinical reporting as required by NSR Corporate.
- Maintaining currency with industry leading practice in occupational health.
**_About you?_**
With solid experience (5+ years) in a similar role within the resources sector, you possess highly developed clinical skills, honed from working in an emergency department or remote location health facility environment, and have a passion for the health & wellbeing of others.
- The following will see you set for success in this key role:_
- Extensive experience, with strong clinical skills and demonstrated success working in Occupational Health setting.
- The ability to work in a hybrid role, with time split evenly between working out of our Subiaco Head Office, and our remote site operations.
- Time spent working in an emergency department would be highly regarded, as would experience at a remote community clinic and exposure to the mining industry.
- Be eligible for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Hold current AHPRA registration, along with a valid WA “C” Class Drivers Licence.
- A people person, with excellent verbal & written communication skills, and the ability to engage, influence & build trustworthy & functional relationships with allied health professionals and occupational stakeholders.
- Flexible & adaptable to changing & evolving practices & procedures, you multitask & prioritise effectively, and possess a solid understanding of current legislation & relevant codes of practice.
- Sound computer skills & literacy - with Microsoft Office, Occupational Health Systems including Solv, Coreplus & incident, and reporting systems such as INX.
