The opportunity
Join our Sustainability team and help deliver on QBE’s purpose by making a meaningful impact on our communities and environment.
As the Sustainability Lead, you’ll drive the strategic planning and implementation of our Sustainability Strategy, lead key initiatives, and ensure alignment and consistency across the enterprise. You’ll act as a central point of contact for our sustainability scorecard targets in relation to supply chain, manage performance reporting, and collaborate with stakeholders to embed sustainability into the business. This role supports the Head of Sustainability Integration and plays a key part in managing our Group Human Rights Policy and key sustainability projects.
Your new role- Lead the implementation, monitoring and evolution of the Group Human Rights Policy.- Develop and embed due diligence processes for environmental and social topics.- Drive supplier engagement on sustainability and climate performance, including emissions reduction.- Develop and deliver education and engagement materials for strategic suppliers and internal teams.- Design and maintain sustainability and procurement policies, procedures, and guidelines.- Collaborate with claims, procurement, third party risk management, underwriting, and operations to identify sustainability opportunities.- Coordinate the annual Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement.- Contribute to sustainability reporting and mandatory climate disclosures.- Conduct research and data analysis on emerging sustainability topics as required.- Support enterprise-wide sustainability integration and innovation.
About you- Proven experience in sustainability strategy, ESG, or sustainability consulting.- Previous experience in the financial services industry preferred.- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.- Excellent communication and storytelling capabilities.- High digital literacy, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.- Excellent networking and relationship-building capabilities including the ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
