John Holland Infrastructure in NSW is an already well-established top tier contractor and is growing and developing to reflect the enormous State and Federal Government investment in Infrastructure and Construction in NSW.
As part of this continued growth John Holland are now looking to engage with established Sustainibility Leads or Advisors as well as Environmental Coordinators looking to join a top tier contractor where you will be encouraged to provide leadership, guidance and influence within this large and diverse business unit.
Positions would be based in Western Sydney.

**Responsibilities of the roles include**:

- Lead, coordinate and provide day to day specialist sustainability/environmental support to internal stakeholders
- Identification and effective management of sustainability/environmental risks
- Embed sustainability requirements into the design and procurement process and sustainability accountabilities are communicated to the project team
- Develop, manage and lead the continual technical improvement of project sustainability management systems
- Liaise with government bodies and professional organisations on sustainability/environmental matters
- Establish, monitor and report on key sustainability performance objectives and standards for managing project sustainability risks
- Manage sustainability performance and reporting, including performance tracking
- Manage sustainability consultants and the collection of sustainability monitoring information
- Manage and support the development of sustainability team personnel in leading practices and driving improvement
- Perform all duties in accordance with John Holland policies, processes, systems, and procedures

**To be successful in this role, you must have**:

- Bachelor Degree in Environmental Engineering, Science, Sustainability or other associated disciplines
- Specialist sustainability experience within the Construction industry on a major infrastructure project
- Experience in achieving required Greenstar and ISCA ratings
- Extensive experience in the development and implementation of the IS Rating Tool
- Understanding of environmental management techniques and statutory approval processes
- Understanding of the IS Rating Scheme Application and Verification processes
- Ability to work autonomously to resolve issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
