As a Project support officer, you will play a key role in providing high level administrative project support services to project team members to ensure the efficient administration of the project, and adherence to organisational policies and procedures. This particular positions offers huge longterm initial contract period of two years with potential to extend, flexible work arrangements and competitive hourly rate.

The Delivery Support Team assists the Regional Project Director in supporting and coordinating delivery of regional significant projects in the following areas:

- Organisational support
- Operational workforce planning & resource management
- Project office support
- Systems and procedures
- Governance management
- Reporting & controls
- Delivery strategies & procurement
- Project management support.
- Project plans
- Key discipline leads

Role responsibilities:
In the role of Project Support Officer (Delivery Support) you will provide high level administrative project support services to project team members to ensure the efficient administration of the project, and adherence to organisational policies and procedures.

The position reports to the Manager (Delivery Support) and has nil direct reports.
- About the Project Support Officer (Delivery Support) role
- Research and prepare a range of high level project documentation, including briefing notes and submissions.
- Identify and recommend changes to existing practices and procedures to further develop project support processes.
- Undertake high level data analysis and project performance reporting to provide the Delivery Support team with relevant and accurate information.
- Develop project schedules and regularly monitor and report on the project budget, schedule and resource usage against key performance measures.
- Manage project activities to support the Delivery Support team, including industry briefings, risk workshops, training activities and project openings.
- Review and analyse incoming and outgoing project correspondence and documentation to identify issues and risks for inclusion in the appropriate registers.
- Promote best practice project management support approaches and a culture of learning and continuous improvement across The Department of Transport and Main Roads.
- Distribute, as requested, project correspondence, documents, drawings, and so on to relevant parties.
- Monitor, input, manage and complete project DMS requirements.
- Assists the Delivery Support team with procurement, HR and finance activities.
- Ensure all project support activities, including establishment, maintenance, review and close-off, are undertaken in line with relevant guidelines, policies and protocols.
- Provide other administrative support to the Delivery Support team.
- Undertaking any other duties relevant to the competency level of the position as required.
