This role supports the development, implementation and management of procurement and contract strategies and activities with contracts, subcontractors and suppliers, to ensure timely and successful delivery of goods, services and works.

Our client requires the expertise of a procurement professional who is passionate about procurement and contracts and delivering a first class service to both internal and external stakeholders.

**Duties**:

- Ensure best service and cost for goods, services and works through contract award and delivery of contract to all sites
- Reviewing, developing, setting and delivering procurement strategies and directly managing contracts delivery
- Prepare, conduct and analyse Request for Proposals, Request for Quotes and Requests for Information
- Complete evaluations; analyse data and make recommendations on supplier selection
- Formulate, review and negotiate contracts in line with legal terms and conditions / framework contracts
- Manage underperforming suppliers within category group, intervening where necessary to resolve issues and provide solutions
- Develop close co-operative relationships with internal customers
- Identify and deliver savings / rebate opportunities in line with departmental / business targets.

**Experience Required**:

- Tertiary qualification in contract management, business, commerce, accounting or related field, or equivalent industry experience
- Full life cycle management of contracts including procurement planning, tendering, negotiation, administration and close out.
- Strong business acumen with a strong awareness of critical commercial and legal risks
- Cost saving methodology using value engineering, sustainability etc.
- Proficient knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft office packages and ERP software (Pronto) - essential
- Demonstrates perseverance, patience and commitment for long term success
