A leading national food manufacturer is seeking a Procurement Manager to oversee purchasing across multiple sites. This permanent role, based in the Perth metropolitan area, offers the chance to lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.

Role Overview

You'll drive procurement strategy across direct and indirect categories, manage supplier performance, and lead a team focused on cost, quality, and supply continuity. The role involves cross-functional collaboration, system improvement, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute national procurement strategy
  • Lead and coach the procurement team
  • Manage sourcing, negotiation, and contracting
  • Build supplier performance frameworks
  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, QA, HR, and HSE
  • Improve MRP/ERP processes and data discipline
  • Monitor supply risk and implement contingency plans
  • Track and report procurement KPIs
  • Ensure supplier compliance with company standards

What You'll Bring

Essential

  • Experience in senior procurement roles within the FMCG / food industry
  • Strong leadership and strategic sourcing experience
  • MRP/ERP proficiency and financial acumen
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Agile, data-driven, and team-oriented

Preferred

  • CIPS/MCIPS qualification
  • Familiarity with cold-chain logistics and HACCP
