**APS5 Performance and Talent Officer** in their excellent office locations of Richmond or Geelong.
**About the Team**
The
**Workforce and Capability (WAC) Branch** support the Agency to determine resource requirements. The branch source people with the skills and cultural fit to best deliver world-leading results for the Agency. They enable an inclusive, capable, and engaged workforce.
The branch lead a range of programs, including learning and development initiatives such as foundational skills development, the Graduate Development Program, and leadership and management development. They manage culture and inclusion initiatives such as staff engagement programs, the Employee Experience project and the annual Agency-wide APS Census. The branch also lead organisational development initiatives such as talent, performance and the Agency's recognition program Light Up - Celebrating Brilliance.
**About The Role**
The
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- Oversee the delivery and continuous improvement of the Agency's Light Up - Celebrating Brilliance Recognition Program, including APS and Agency Service Recognition
- Promote awareness and growth of the Everyday Recognition and the Annual Light Up Awards
- Co-ordinate end to end the Annual Awards Project Plan including communicating, managing and driving nominations, judging panels, organising events and embedding a culture of continuous improvement
- Provide support to implement and embed APS and the Agency Service Recognition for the Agency, including ongoing Coordination of APS and Service Recognition tasks
- Prepare monthly Everyday Recognition reports for SES and other 'ad hoc' divisional reporting requests
- Oversee the Recognition Communication Plan and ensure all relevant communication channels are updated including intranet, guides, resources and tools
- Respond to recognition related queries, through business systems and the Light Up -Celebrating Brilliance mailbox
**Key skills required for the role**:
- Meet and exceed internal or external stakeholder expectations while cultivating relationships that secure commitment and trust
- Effective program management, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and display strong time management skills to ensure that work is completed efficiently
- Ability to actively identify key areas for continuous improvement.
- A strong attention to detail
**Desirable skills for the role**:
- Prior experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS)
- Prior experience drafting communications and managing a communication and engagement plan
- Strong Excel and reporting skills
- Experience working in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- Experience in building relationships both with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work within and across teams, the ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to prioritise and allocate tasks in an efficient manner while also maintaining high work standards and accuracy
