We’re looking for an internal communications business partner to lead internal communications across our Personal Banking and People, Culture, Client Service and Support teams within Banking & Financial Services (BFS). If you’re a strategic communicator and business storyteller who can lead through influence, build trusted relationships at all levels in a dynamic environment and roll up your sleeves to design and deliver effective, compelling communications, we want to hear from you.
- Our People, Culture, Client Service and Support division is collectively responsible for client experience and employee experience within Banking and Financial Services, recognising that the two are linked in a virtuous circle. In this role, you’ll lead internal communications within the division, as well as Employee Experience (EX) communications to all Banking and Financial Services.
- Personal Banking is an exciting and fast-growing business, providing a diverse range of retail banking products to clients with home loans, car loans, transaction and savings accounts and credit cards. We see ourselves as a tech company in financial services and serve clients through direct offerings, strong intermediary relationships and a leading digital banking experience.

Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and delivering the communications strategies for our two divisions and Banking and Financial Services-wide Employee Experience initiatives, integrating strategic and change communications to help the divisions achieve their goals and contribute to our outstanding Employee Experience.
- Leading and delivering the divisional heads’ communications strategies which support the divisions’ strategic and cultural goals and personal brand of the leaders.
- Designing and writing compelling communications and content for all channels to engage and inspire our people about our divisional strategy while aligning to the overarching culture and strategy.
- Collaborating with other comms business partners well as Human Resources and Learning & Development Business partners to design and deliver an integrated and consistent approach to communications around our Employee Experience.
- Collaborating with the rest of the internal communications and engagement team to plan and deliver our key communications and engagement events and campaigns.
- Leading an awesome internal communications executive who will work with you to deliver communications, events and experiences within your portfolio.
This role will appeal to someone who has demonstrated:
- A proactive, strategic approach with a flair for creative ideas and strong bias to delivery and exceptional employee experience.
- Extensive experience in designing, writing and executing communications and campaigns, including using technology and internal social platforms (we use Slack in BFS) to create fresh, innovative and engaging content and maximise cut through of messages.
- A track record in quickly developing and maintaining trusted advisor relationships with senior stakeholders and effective and constructive relationships at all levels.
- Experience in using data to plan, design, deliver and measure communications.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment with a strong learning, innovation mindset.
- Experience working within or delivering communications for a tech company or tech environment in any sector (desirable but not essential).
