**Your Opportunity**
SIXT Australia currently has a great opportunity for a **full time permanent Claims Officer** to join our team.
As the Claims Officer, you will provide quality customer service, internal and external interactions and convert customer complaints into return business. The primary focus of the Claims Officer is to support the Department Head with the focus on all claims recoveries.
**In this role, you will also**:
- Handling an allocated claims portfolio through to finalisation
- Enter accident and claim details into computer (Figtree)
- Match, check (quotes & rates) and approve invoices for payment.
- Assess claims for liability and determine the at fault party.
- Collections of outstanding from instalment payments.
- Ensure quick response times to all customer enquiries is achieved
- Ensuring all recovery and demand opportunities are maximised
- Check and action appropriate refunds, third party payments or service provider payments.
- Organise investigations where appropriate to determine claim settlements
- In consultation with the Team Leader, appoint and liaise with external service providers and experts
- Complete Regular claim reviews to ensure that monies are accurately recovered, allocated and/or payments drawn.
- Adhere to relevant Privacy Act legislation and requirements.
- Manager customer expectations from a client and service provider perspective
- Deal with internal/external customer queries in a timely, efficient and professional manner.
- Use empowerment to turn customer complaints around
- Liaise with other areas to gather and provide information.
This role will offer a hybrid work arrangement with the opportunity to work from home with travel required to our Sydney Olympic Park office and/or SIXT Australia sites 3 days per week.
**About You**
- Planning and organising ability to ensure business and customer needs are met.
- Demonstrated effective usage of interpersonal skills along with a communication style to cross Department lines and liaise with outside contacts.
- Strong personality with a good phone manner.
- Desire to learn and expand PC and insurance knowledge and practice.
- Desire to work in an environment where targets are exceeded and results are achieved in part through others.
- Previous experience in a customer service environment
- Empowerment and accountability to effectively perform the role.
- Strong desire to advance career and future prospects
- Ability to follow set policies and procedures whilst maintaining customer relationships
