We are currently recruiting for a Regional Manager - Lending Distribution position working full time in a permanent basis. The position will be based in the greater Melbourne area having the opportunity to work in our branches, our support office in Melbourne CBD and remotely. This position will be required to travel to various locations. The Regional Manager will contribute to the purpose and ongoing success of Defence Bank by providing sales mentoring and coaching support and lead a team of Mobile Lenders.

**Description**:
What you will do.

**This specialist position is accountable for**:

- Leading a team of Mobile Lenders, providing team leadership by establishing direction, fostering teamwork and alignment, and motivating team members to achieve agreed goals.
- Providing sales mentoring and coaching to enable the team to achieve success in retaining our existing member portfolio as well as developing and growing new business.
- Ensure execution of a consistent Home Loan discipline for all lenders across all channels including Branch and Member Direct.
- Ensure the day-to day-operational tasks of our South team are member-focused and are undertaken to a first-class quality standard to ensure Defence Bank meets all of its regulatory benchmarks.
- Lead the team to build capability and cross skill to enable success of Defence Bank’s transformational change program - end to end lending. This will include increase skills and knowledge in DHOAS, credit acumen and Business Development Skills.
- Manage the delivery of any referral partnership schemes.
- Engage with your team and peers to position the need for change in relation to business objectives, and provide support to deliver, manage, and sustain change.
- Provide the Head of Mobile Lending with external insights, timely feedback and ideas to drive the strategic mandate of the lending business across all channels (F2F, Ph, Online, Omni).

- At least 5 years’ experience in Banking Industry with specific experience in lending.
- Lending sales team management experience.
- Previous experience managing a sales team through organisational change.
- Ability to coach and mentor your team to achieve success.
- Demonstrated experience or skills in presentation skills.
- You’ll have a desire to make ‘awesome happen’ and bring the Defence Bank brand story to life.
